Lockport Plans Memorial Day Ceremony, Banner Dedication

LOCKPORT, IL — The City of Lockport will hold its Memorial Day ceremony and Lockport Heroes Banner Dedication on Memorial Day, May 27.

The banner dedication and Memorial Day speakers will begin at 10 a.m. at the City Hall flag pole, 222 E. Ninth St.

If it rains, the event will be held indoors at the City Hall gym.

Lockport launched its Heroes Banner program last year. The program honors the accomplishments of men and women from Lockport who have served in the military. The banners are displayed around Central Square and downtown Lockport from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
