Lockport Realtor Recognized As Organization's 20 Under 40 Class Of '22

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport real estate agent and brokerage owner has been recognized by her peers as one of the members of the 20 Under 40 Class of 2022 as awarded by The Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

Ashley York received the award, which was announced Wednesday, and that recognizes real estate professionals in the greater Chicago area who demonstrate outstanding commitment to their colleagues, clients, and communities, the organization said.

York, who has been a realtor since 2009, opened her own brokerage firm in Lockport in 2017. As Realtopia Real Estate’s designed managing broker, York has grown the firm into one that has done more than $230 million in sales since 2017 while overseeing a roster of more than 50 real estate agents.

“Real estate has never been more exciting than it is today, and it’s thanks to the individuals like Ashley York for their dedication to the industry,” Mainstreet CEO John Gormley said in a news release “We’re incredibly proud of this year’s 20 Under 40 Class.”

York, who is a wife and mother of two, enjoys spending time with her family and their lab mix.

York is part of a group of 20 realtors 40 years of age and younger who demonstrated business success, community involvement, and professional leadership. Individuals shared personal stories of growth, and innovative tactics to expand their footprint, being a realtor means to them.

“These outstanding realtors are true assets to their neighborhoods due to their unrelenting commitment to making a difference,” Mainstreet Board of Directors President John LeTourneau said in the release. “Mainstreet looks forward to seeing how these individuals continue to deliver value to families and communities for many years to come.”
