LTHS Board Approves $3.4 Million Bid For Central Ceiling Project

The project should be finished this summer.

LOCKPORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lockport Township High School District 205 Board of Education approved a $3.4 million contract for the ceiling replacement project at Central Campus.

According to the District, the Board approved a contract with Berglund Construction Company for phase two of the ceiling replacement project at Central Campus at a bid of $3,453,776.

"The approval of this bid is to reopen Central Campus on Aug. 19, for the 2024-25 school year," the District said in a news release.

Berglund was the lowest bid, and was unanimously approved by the board. Two other bids were received, one for $4.7 million, and one for $3.7 million.

The project is expected to be finished this summer, the District said.
