LTHS Board Of Education Appoints New Board Member
Candace Gerritsen was approved to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Sandra Chimon Rogers.
LOCKPORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lockport Township High School Board of Education appointed Candace Gerritsen to a position on the Board.
Gerritsen was approved to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Sandra Chimon Rogers. Chimon Rogers died in June due to a long-term illness.
The Board received 12 applicants for the unexpired term, and interviewed seven, according to Board documents.

Superintendent Robert McBride said the unexpired term will last until the next municipal election, which is April 1, 2025.
