LTHS Board Member Zyan Navarra Resigns
Navarra informed the Board President he was living in a suburb outside district boundaries.
LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School District 205 Board of Education member Zyan Navarra has resigned, as he lives outside of LTHS' territory, according to a release from the District.
In November, Navarra told Board President Ann Lopez-Caneva that he was married and currently living with his wife in a suburb outside of LTHS boundaries. Under state law, residency within the district is a requirement for Board Membership.
Navarra resigned his seat on Dec. 16, the District said. Navarra had also filed to run for re-election in the April election, but his relocation would disqualify him.
