LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School Central Campus will reopen on Aug. 19, Superintendent Robert McBride said in an update on Monday.
The first day of school for the District is Aug. 19, and McBride said that all sections of the campus will be completed by then, and "there will be no construction operations at school when students return," McBride said.
Originally, it was thought that some parts of the building would not be finished until Aug. 30, but construction is ahead of schedule.

Lockport freshmen will return to Central Campus after spending most of the 2023-24 school year learning at Lincoln-Way North campus in Frankfort.
"As we end this construction project, we know more about Central Campus than has been known in 100 years," McBride said. "The building has new ceiling tiles and lighting, giving the campus a bright, new look."
