LTHS Girls Volleyball To Play Benet Academy In State Semifinal

The semifinal game will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday at CEFCU Arena in Normal.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township High School girls volleyball team continues its successful run in the IHSA Class 4A state series as it is set to play Benet Academy in the state semifinals on Friday.

Earlier this season, the Porters defeated Joliet West to capture the sectional championship, according to IHSA. Lockport also captured the super-sectional win over Oak Park-River Forest, and advanced to the semi-final match.

According to IHSA, the semifinal game will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday at CEFCU Arena in Normal. The winner of that game will advance to the state championship and face the winner of Marist vs. Fremd on Saturday.

The championship game will be played at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, while the third-place game will be played at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday; both at CEFCU Arena in Normal.
