LTHS Plans Community Open House To Discuss Facility Stability

Architects, financial professionals, community solar representatives, Board members, and Citizens Advisory Council members will be on hand.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School will hold an open house on May 13 to discuss facility stability and share more information to ensure Central Campus is a functional and safe learning environment, the District shared.

The open house will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 13 at East Campus' cafeteria.

There will be architects, financial professionals, community solar representatives, Board members, and Citizens Advisory Council members on hand to discuss facility stability.

In March, an $85 million referendum that proposed issuing building bonds to renovate Lockport Central Campus was not passed by voters. For several months, Lockport's freshmen students have been learning at the previously vacant Lincoln-Way North campus in Frankfort, after a ceiling collapse in one of the classrooms at Central.
