LTHS Plans Fourth Annual ShareFest Giveaway

LOCKPORT, IL — LTHS District 205 will host its fourth annual ShareFest community giveaway event on Dec. 15, according to a release from the District.

In partnership with ShareFest Will County, among other local organizations, this event offers free donation giveaways and a drive-thru food distribution for any resident in need, the District said.

Last year, the event served 580 families and 1,215 individuals, collecting and distributing 9,200 pounds of clothes, 34,000 pounds of food, and 450 toys. All week long, LTHS students collected toy donations and sorted all of the donated items, the District said.

LTHS students and staff plan to volunteer for this annual event.

This year's event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 15 at LTHS East Campus, 1333 E. Seventh St., in Lockport.

From 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a new and used home goods, clothes, toys, books giveaway (inside of East Campus, enter at Door 1 of CWC entrance). And from noon to 2 p.m., there will be a drive-thru food giveaway outdoors in the District Parking lot.
