LTHS Seeks Applications For Vacant Board Of Education Position
The open position comes after the death of board member Sandra Chimon Rogers.
LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township High School District 205 is seeking an individual to fill a vacant position on the Board through May 2025, according to a release from the District.
The open position comes after the death of board member Sandra Chimon Rogers.
The vacant seat will be up for election again in the April 2025 consolidated election.

For those interested in the position, you must submit a letter expressing interest and a resume. Materials can be submitted via mail or in-person drop off to the LTHS D205 District Administrative Center, Board of Education Vacancy, Attention Kathy Maxwell, 1323 E. Seventh St., Lockport, IL, 60441; or via email to Kathy Maxwell, Board Secretary at kmaxwell@lths.org with a subject line: Board of Education Vacancy.
All materials must be received no later than noon on July 26, the District said. After reviewing resumes, the Board will schedule interviews during evening sessions on Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 with selected candidates.

The Board seeks to swear in the new board member at the monthly Board meeting on Aug. 19.
All candidates must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age, a registered voter, and a resident of Illinois and District 205 for at least a year.
