Man Found Dead In Lockport Canal ID'd
A 23-year-old man from Oak Forest was pronounced dead Monday afternoon near the Lockport Dam.
LOCKPORT, IL — A 23-year-old man has been pronounced dead after reports of a body found in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near the Lockport Dam in Will County on Monday.
According to the Will County Coroner's Office, the man has been identified as Joseph Mora, of Oak Forest. He was pronounced dead at 4:05 p.m. Monday near the 2500 block of Channel Road.
The coroner's office said the Illinois State Police are investigating the incident, and an autopsy was done on Tuesday.
