Obituary: Danuta 'Donna' Krupa

LOCKPORT, IL — Danuta “Donna” Krupa, 69, of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Sunday.

Born in Osobnica, Poland on June 1, 1952, Danuta was the beloved wife of (late) Kajetan “Kenny” Krupa; the loving mother of Kenneth (Annette) Krupa, Daniel (Michelle) Krupa, and Graig Krupa; cherished Babcia of Brielle, Calvin, Landon, Austin, and Cameron; daughter of the late Jan Sendra and Janina Spiewak; dear sister of Anthony (Waleria) Sendra and Mark Spiewak; and treasured aunt, cousin & friend to many.

Danuta was a sweet woman who enjoyed socializing, shopping, reading, and cooking. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren ensuring they were always taken care of. You could often find Danuta listening to her favorite Elvis or Old Country songs. Her favorite movie was "Dirty Dancing" but also enjoyed a good Western. Danuta enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, especially Roses and Orchids. She enjoyed picturesque scenery such as mountains and nature and was a lover of animals. Danuta was at her happiest when she was with her family. She was known as “Ba Ba” to her grandchildren. The stories of her past, the kisses, and hugs will be missed.

Visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday from the funeral home to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for Mass at 10 a.m.

Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
