Reports Of Body Found Near Lockport Dam
This investigation is open and ongoing, police said.
LOCKPORT, IL — Multiple agencies responded Monday after a report of a body found near the Lockport Dam in Will County.
The Illinois State Police told Patch it responded at 1:11 p.m. to 2500 Channel Road near the Lockport Dam, to assist the Lockport Township Fire Protection District with an investigation. Police did not detail what kind of investigation it was.
Lockport Township Fire District Deputy Chief Frank Blaskey said officials responded to Channel Road for a body discovered in the water.

The investigation is open and ongoing, state police said, adding that there was no further information to be released Monday evening.
