State Rep. Patrick Sheehan Announces Re-Election Campaign

Sheehan represents the 37th District, which includes parts of Homer Glen, Lockport, Joliet, Mokena, Orland Park and New Lenox.

HOMER GLEN, IL — State Representative Patrick Sheehan has announced he is running for re-election to the Illinois House of Representatives.

Sheehan, a Republican representing the 37th District, has a career long record of public service as a law enforcement officer, former Parks Commissioner, and Alderman, according to a news release from his office.

The 37th District includes parts of the communities of Homer Glen, Lockport, Joliet, Mokena, Orland Park and New Lenox.

“As a law enforcement officer and a father, I understand what Illinois families need - a safe and affordable community to call home,” Sheehan said in a news release. “I’ve taken on the Chicago Machine and stood up to the radical and dangerous ideas coming out of Springfield. I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for safer communities, lower taxes, and prosperity for the residents of this great state.”

Sheehan was first appointed to the House of Representatives in 2024, filling a vacancy left by Tim Ozinga.

Sheehan has focused on public safety, government transparency, and fiscal responsibility, bringing a law enforcement perspective to the Capitol, according to a news release.
