Victorian Village to Host Educational Series for Seniors

Victorian Village Continuing Care Senior Community is hosting a free educational series on a variety of topics related to senior living. You can opt to attend as many of the events as you would like.

All sessions will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be held in the Community Center located at 14303 S. Independence Way in Homer Glen.

Aug. 17: Senior Medicare Patrol

This session will help you learn Medicare basics, as well as how to prevent Medicare fraud and abuse and will be presented by Benefits Access Specialists from AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. Both agencies have been a vital resource and advocate for the aging population for over 45 years. Please RSVP by Aug. 15.

Sept. 7: What Aging Adults Need to Know

This session will present resources and services available to older adults and veterans to enhance quality of life. Learn from the experts at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. Please RSVP by Sept. 2.

Oct. 5: Active Aging

This session will focus on healthy living, including a holistic view of healthy aging, what that means to you, and the small changes that can make a BIG difference in how you age. It will be presented by the Well-Being Specialist from our trusted rehabilitation partners at Symbria Rehab. Please RSVP by Oct. 3.

Nov. 2: Outsmart the Scammers

This session will help you prevent being scammed. Incidents of fraud are dramatically on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are more complex. Nobody is immune. Our partners at Edward Jones will help you learn the steps you need to take to protect yourself. Please RSVP by Oct. 31.
