1 Killed In Crash With Car, Semi On I-394: State Police

SAUK VILLAGE, IL — One person is dead following a crash with a car and semi in Sauk Village early Monday morning, Illinois State Police have said.

The crash at 7:45 a.m. closed a portion of I-394 for several hours while police investigated, state police said.

Preliminary investigation indicates a car struck the rear of a semi on I-394 southbound just north of Steger Road, state police said. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. Their name has not yet been released.

All southbound lanes were closed, then reopening at 11:30 a.m.
