Narcotics In Baby Bottles, Illegal Gun: 3 Arrested After Police Investigate Suspicious Vehicle, PD Says
Homewood police on Thursday released details of three arrests linked to a suspicious vehicle Wednesday.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Three people face various gun and drug charges after Homewood police curbed a suspicious vehicle Wednesday, and found suspected narcotics stored in baby bottles, police said Thursday.
At 4 p.m. Dec. 10, Homewood tactical officers conducted an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the 18600 block of Halsted Street. During the encounter, police say officers spotted a clear bag containing a large quantity of pills next to the driver, Cortney Davis, 19, of Harvey. A second bag containing additional pills and the handle of a handgun was seen on the lap of front seat passenger Kameron Williams, 21, of Dolton, according to police.
A third occupant, Grant Crosby, 20, of Homewood, was removed from the vehicle, and officers searched it. They found 188 pills of suspected Alprazolam, two loaded handguns and nine baby bottles containing suspected narcotics, police said.

"While officers encounter many unusual hiding places during investigations, this marks the first recorded instance in recent memory where baby bottles were repurposed for something other than feeding infants," Homewood police said in a release. "Officials would like to remind the public that while baby bottles are great for milk and formula, they are not recommended for storing narcotics—no matter how airtight the seal."
Davis was charged with armed violence and possession of a firearm with no serial number. Williams was charged with armed violence. Crosby was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and arrested on a warrant for speeding 26–34 mph over the limit.
