The Click It Or Ticket campaign results in seat belt, speeding, and other citations.
FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Flossmoor Police Department on Monday announced the results of its enhanced traffic enforcement efforts as part of the Federal Fiscal Year 2025 Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP). These efforts, conducted between June 20-July 7, were aimed at reducing traffic crashes and saving lives. During the STEP enforcement period, Flossmoor officers issued 115 citations. The results include:
- 5 speeding citations
- 86 occupant restraint citations
- 22 other traffic citations
- 2 traffic arrests
These efforts were conducted under a high-visibility traffic safety campaign, including Click It or Ticket.
“The goal of this enforcement was to make our roads safer for everyone,” says Flossmoor Police Chief Carl Estelle. “By focusing on the leading causes of crashes—such as speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving and failure to wear seat belts—we aimed to save lives and remind drivers that violating traffic laws will not be tolerated.
