Armed Carjackers Take Car At Homewood Gas Station, Arrested In Indiana

According to police, 2 armed men forced a driver and passenger out of a car Monday afternoon at Shell Gas Station on Halsted Street.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Two men were carjacked at a Homewood gas station Monday afternoon, police said.

According to Homewood officials, police arrived at the Shell Gas Station at 17951 South Halsted Street at around 3:30 p.m. The driver told police he was forced out of his car at gunpoint at around 2 p.m.

Officers said the driver and passenger were approached by two other men who had handguns. One of the men took the driver's cell phone and ordered both the driver and passenger out of their 2010 Chevy Impala.

No one was injured during the incident and the driver's car was found later in Indiana after the same duo was suspected of carjacking a woman.
