HOMEWOOD, IL — An arrest was made last Thursday after a Homewood Acres firehouse was vandalized and seriously damaged, the Cook County Sheriff's Office told Patch.

Surveillance video from inside the firehouse showed two boys throwing a rock into the window of the all-volunteer establishment and joining two other young boys inside. From there, the group went room by room knocking over furniture, ripping cabinet doors off the hinges and hitting the wall with hammers.

According to the sheriff's office, one juvenile was arrested in connection to the incident and charged with burglary.
