Aurelio's To Sell Some Sauces At IN Stores, But Not Secret Pizza Sauce

HOMEWOOD, IL — Aurelio's pizza, a chain which first opened in Homewood, will now sell some of their famous sauces at select grocery store locations throughout Northwest Indiana, officials announced.

Three of the pizza chain's restaurant sauces — tomato basil, vodka sauce and marinara — are now available at Strack & Van Til grocery stores.

"We are so grateful to be able to work with another family business," a spokesperson from Aurelio's wrote in a social media statement.

While many fans of the Illinois-based establishment were happy to hear the news, some still repeated an age-old request for a retail version of Aurelio's pizza sauce which is made using a secret recipe that has never been released or sold.

"That will always be a secret!" a spokesperson wrote in regards to comments.

Strack & Van Til has around 20 stores all located in Indiana. The trio of sauces are also available for order through Aurelio's website. In Homewood, Walt's Food Center is known to occasionally carry the brand.
