change doesn't have to be a battle

Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,

The secret to change isn’t found in resisting what has already been, but in turning our energy toward what we are ready to grow into. When we keep fighting the old, we remain tied to it. But when we direct that same energy into building the new, whether through a daily practice, a fresh perspective, or a more compassionate way of being, we begin shaping the life we long for.

Change doesn’t need to feel like a battle. It can be an invitation to shift our attention toward what nourishes, inspires, and aligns with who we are becoming. This week, rather than wrestling with old patterns, can you gently redirect your focus toward building something new? Small, steady steps forward often bring more ease than struggling with what’s already behind us.

Inspire | “Life becomes much lighter when you understand that your job isn’t to control how others think, act, or feel. Your job is to stay rooted in who you are, act with integrity, stay devoted to your evolution, and let go of everything that isn’t yours to carry.” Unknown

Nourish | As we move into the crisp, drying days of early autumn, try this simple “Ayurvedic Gatorade” recipe. Prepare warm water with a pinch of sea salt and a squeeze of fresh lime first thing in the morning. Sip it before you eat or drink anything else. It’s a nourishing way to keep the body hydrated, support electrolyte balance, and maintain moisture from the inside out.

Try This | One of my new fall rituals (thanks to a thoughtful share from one of our community members) is gathering up the books I want to dive into over the winter months. There’s something so comforting about stacking them up now, knowing they’ll be there waiting for me when the days turn colder and quieter.
