🌙 cozy nights, deeper rest
Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,
As the nights grow cooler and the sun takes its time rising, I find myself craving rest and sleep even more this time of year. There’s something about pulling up an extra blanket, breathing into the stillness, and letting my body soften into rest that feels like an invitation from nature to slow down.
Below are a few simple rituals that you might try to help make your sleep extra sweet:

- Enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea before bed.
- Freshen up your bedding, add an extra blanket, and surround yourself with comfort.
- Add a drop of lavender oil to your pillow or wrists.
- Take a warm shower or bath to release stress from the day.
- Put your phone away early, and let the quiet of the evening surround you.
- Try a few minutes of legs-up-the-wall or a gentle forward fold to help your body unwind.
- Keep your room cool and dark to promote optimal rest.
Here’s to cozy blankets, longer nights, and rest that truly replenishes.
With love and gratitude,
Liz

Listen | If you are looking for a lighthearted and thoughtful podcast, I highly recommend the Good Hang podcast with Amy Poehler—it feels like sitting down with good friends for honest, lighthearted conversation and plenty of laughs. It’s the perfect mix of warmth, humor, and little nuggets of wisdom you didn’t know you needed. I especially enjoyed the episodes with Adam Scott and Andy Samberg.
Try This | As you prepare for sleep and settle under a soft blanket, place one hand on your belly and one on your heart. Inhale “soften,” exhale “release,” for ten slow breaths. Feel your body growing heavier with each exhale, your thoughts loosening their grip, your breath lulling you to sleep.
