Elderly Driver Hits 2 Walking, Slams Into Tree: Flossmoor Police

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Flossmoor Police Department is investigating an accident that seriously injured one Monday morning.

Around 9:53 a.m., Flossmoor Police were dispatched after an elderly driver, driving a 2016 Toyota sport, collided with two pedestrians and a tree on the 2900 block of Flossmoor Road. According to police, one of the pedestrians was seriously injured and the other suffered minor injuries. The driver suffered minor injuries from the crash, but all were taken to a nearby hospital by the Flossmoor Fire Department.

It is unknown where the elderly driver was heading after leaving their driveway, just before the crash, according to police.

The Flossmoor Police Department and the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction team will be conducting this traffic crash investigation, according to police.
