Flossmoor D161 Kindergarten Registration Opens March 4

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor School District 161 will begin Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, March 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at each of the District’s elementary schools. Families will also learn about KinderPrep, the District’s summer program designed to help incoming kindergarteners prepare for a successful start to the school year.

Children must be five years old by September 1, 2025, to be eligible for kindergarten. Families unsure of their child's designated school should contact the District Office at (708)647-7000 for assistance.

For those unable to attend the March 4 registration event, appointments can be scheduled directly with their child’s school to complete the registration process.

Required Documents for Registration:

Parents and guardians must provide the following:

• Original birth certificate (with raised seal)
• Proof of residency within District 161
• Guardianship/custody documentation (if applicable)
