Flossmoor Recyclepalooza Returns Saturday, Sept. 27
The event is held in the parking lot of Parker Junior High.
FLOSSMOOR, IL — Area residents are invited to close out the summer season with a cleaning spree and to bring their recyclable items to Recyclepalooza from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Parker Junior High School parking lot
Whether you're cleaning out your closets, garage or basement, this event offers a simple and impactful way for you to reduce your landfill waste and give used items a second life. Accepted items this year are:
- Electronics/E-waste
- TVs ($15 fee)
- Monitors ($10 fee)
- Gently worn clothing in all sizes
- Bicycles
- Eyeglasses
- Used razors
- American flags
- Small household items
- New travel-sized toiletries
- Plastic bread tags
- Pop tops
- Legos
- Trophies & medals
- Clean, dry styrofoam
- Used oral care products & packaging
Also, new this year: The Community Relations Commission will be collecting toys for a Faithful Meals in Motion holiday toy drive.
