Flossmoor Road Viaduct Closed Part Of Friday For Work: Officials

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The viaduct on Flossmoor Road will be closed Friday morning to afternoon, village officials said.

According to officials, the viaduct will be inaccessible from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday while crews work to patch and clean certain areas. A representative from the village said the work is routine.

"The closure should not interfere with morning commuters and school traffic, but will impact traffic for approximately five hours," a spokesperson for the village wrote in an email.

An alternate route will be available under the viaduct at 183rd Street in Homewood or through Vollmer Road.
