Forgot School Bus Laws? Homewood Police's Video Will Remind You
If a school bus stops on a 2-way road, what should drivers do? Forgot? Homewood police's video will help you remember and avoid a ticket.

HOMEWOOD, IL — School's in session again and District 153 officials and Homewood police want students — and you — to stay safe when busses are on the road. Their new video should help.
The video features Willow School students and Chief Bill Alcott. He reviews rules of the road, one by one, that affect school busses and kids who ride them. If you can't quite remember the law, it's worth the view. A first-time ticket for passing a stopped school bus will cost you a mandatory minimum penalty of $150 and three-month suspension of your license.
The district promises more videos starting Aug. 26. Stay tuned.
