Free Chamber Night With The Illinois Philharmonic Set For July 25
The performance will be held Thursday, July 25 on the steps of the Flossmoor Public Library.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Live music and painting will take center stage in Flossmoor Thursday, July 25, at Chamber Night with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra.
Music lovers are invited to bring a chair and cozy up for a free performance on the steps of the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave. from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The music will start with an opening performance by the Bel Canto Choir.
The event is hosted by the Village of Flossmoor, the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce, the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle and the Flossmoor Business Association.

"Dine and shop in Downtown Flossmoor at 5 p.m., then bring your chair for the music starting at 5:45 p.m.," officials said. "Don't bother cooking dinner, as our local restaurants will have you covered with food and drink specials."
New this year are four plein-air painters, who will be painting scenes of Flossmoor in real-time during the afternoon, then the resulting canvases will be auctioned off at 6:15 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Flossmoor's public art fund.
