Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Amy goes above and beyond to extend kindness and an open, nurturing heart to her students. She positively promotes learning and recognizes students efforts. She clearly communicates with parents and provides students with motivation to go above and beyond. As someone who never enjoyed homework assignments as a child, I never expected my son to ask me if we could sit down and do homework together in the evenings, or that it might feel as special as it does.
