Harvey Man Broke Into Woman's Home, Assaulted Her: Sheriff
According to the sheriff's department, Paris Israel knew the woman and tried to stop her from calling police once he was inside.

HARVEY, IL — A Harvey man is facing charges of home invasion and domestic battery following a Friday incident where police said 34-year-old Paris Israel broke into a woman's home and assaulted her.
According to the Cook County Sheriff's Department, officers responded to a call Friday at around 1:45 a.m. in unincorporated Thornton Township. When they arrived, police said officers caught Israel attempting to flee the scene.
Sheriff's police detectives told Patch they later discovered Israel knew the woman who lived at the South Stony Island Avenue home and also tried to prevent her from calling police once he was inside.

The woman was assisted by the sheriff's Treatment Response Team which helps domestic violence victims and others in crisis.
Israel was charged with home invasion causing injury, a felony. He also faces misdemeanor charges of domestic battery, interfering with reporting domestic violence and criminal damage to property.

He was issued a D-Bond of $100,000 later Friday.
