Homewood Holiday Lights Set To Twinkle, Kick Off Holiday Season

Homewood will welcome the holiday season with an evening of activities on Friday, Dec. 2.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood residents are invited to kick off the holiday season with an evening of festivities downtown.

Homewood's Holiday Lights will be held Friday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m., at Martin Avenue and Ridge Road. The evening will include the Village's official tree lighting, an outdoor holiday market, and appearances from Frozen characters.

New this year to the festivities is Wendy the Waste Truck—a waste truck disguised as a reindeer will appear in the Holiday Lights parade with a sleigh for attendees to climb into and take pictures after the parade concludes.

"Holiday Lights is a treasured event in Homewood, capturing the joy, excitement, and traditions of the season in one memorable evening," the Village wrote.

Attendees are invited to stroll among the stores, boutiques and restaurants of downtown Homewood to find unique items and gifts.
