Jewel-Osco, Meijer: Thanksgiving 2023 Grocery Store Hours In H-F

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — In the rush to make a complete holiday meal for the entire family, it’s inevitable we’ll forget something on our grocery lists. Fortunately, some grocery stores in Homewood-Flossmoor will be open Thanksgiving Day to pick up the forgotten rolls, the missing can of cranberry sauce—or that one darn thing you've somehow managed to forget on previous trips to the store. (There's always something, right?)

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with those that won’t. As always, Patch encourages you to call ahead to your local store to confirm hours at that location.

Some grocery stores and pharmacies in or near Homewood-Flossmoor will be open on Thanksgiving, including Jewel-Osco. Many others will be closed, however, including Walmart and Target, both of which readjusted their holiday hours two years ago, to give employees a day off to spend with their families.

As always, if you need another pound of butter or an onion to finish cooking your Thanksgiving meal, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure they’re open.

Aldi: All stores are closed.

Costco: All stores are closed.

CVS: About 80 percent of stores will be closed. Call ahead to check yours.

Walgreens: Most stores will be closed; 24-hour stores and pharmacies will be open as usual, though some pharmacies may have modified hours.
