Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Casino Parking Lot: Homewood PD

The armed robbery took place just after midnight Friday, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after a man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Wind Creek Casino early Friday, according to an e-cop alert.

On Friday, Sept. 19 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Homewood police were called to Wind Creek Casino parking garage at 17400 S. Halsted St., East Hazel Crest, for a report of an armed robbery.

Officers learned that a person with a gun got out of a silver SUV and approached the victim, who was walking from his vehicle to return to the casino, police said. The armed robber cornered the victim and took his phone., police said.

The suspect returned to the silver SUV, which fled northbound and exited the parking garage, police said. No one was injured during the incident.
