HOMEWOOD, IL — A Markham man died Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car in Homewood, police said.Shortly after 9:30 a.m., police responded to the intersection of 183rd Street and Hood Avenue after receiving a call about a car vs. motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, officers learned that the motorcycle was traveling westbound in the 1200 block of 183rd Street when it struck a car traveling northbound on Hood Avenue as it crossed 183rd Street.The 42-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. His name is being withheld pending notification of family.The crash remains under investigation.Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420.
