Pritzker Calls Out Trump's Comments On Reiner Death: 'What Is Wrong With Him?'
"Today is yet another example of the, well, the terrible nature of our president, when he's attacking Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner."

Gov. JB Pritzker spoke out Monday against President Donald Trump’s inflammatory comments regarding the killing of famed director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.
"Today is yet another example of the, well, the terrible nature of our president, when he's attacking Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner,” Pritzker said at an unrelated press conference Monday.
The Reiners were found dead Sunday afternoon in their Los Angeles home and were believed to have been stabbed, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Their son, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, was arrested on suspicion of murder and held without bail Monday, authorities said.
Rob Reiner was one of the film industry's most passionate Democrat activists, regularly hosting fundraisers and campaigning for liberal issues. He was an outspoken critic of Trump.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump seemed to blame Rob Reiner’s death on his political views, writing, that he and his wife died “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME … He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump …”
Pritzker, who said he had been with the Reiners four days earlier, expressed dismay and disdain over the remarks.
“I don't understand why the president has to do things like this,” the governor said. “What is wrong with him that he has to attack people, especially when their families are suffering?"
After receiving pushback, including from those in his party, the president was asked if he stood by his social media post. Using the third person, Trump said Reiner “was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned.”
“I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all, in any way shape or form,” Trump said. “I thought he was very bad for our country.”
