Opening Date Set For Homewood Crumbl Cookies

HOMEWOOD, IL — Those in Homewood with a serious sweet tooth are about to get an extra treat, with the opening of Homewood's own Crumbl Cookies shop.

Store owners Derek and Michelle Hincks are set to open their newest Crumbl location, 17751 S Halsted St., on Friday, Sept. 8.

At Crumbl, the treats are mixed, rolled and baked in-house in an open kitchen and the cookies come as big as your hand. The grand opening week menu will consist of six of the 200+ weekly rotating flavors, including Crumbl's award-winning Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk. Future cookie lineups will be posted Sundays at 7 p.m.

The Hincks—who own Crumbl locations in both Tinley Park and Dyer, Indiana— have honed their business and franchisee skills and are eager to get baking in Homewood.

"We are excited to be part of the Village of Homewood community," Hincks previously told Patch. "When we met with Mayor Richard Hofeld and the Director of Economic Development Angela Mesaros several months back, we knew that this was an involved village that we wanted to be a part of."

Hincks opened his Indiana Crumbl in July 2022, followed by the Tinley Park sweets spot in January 2023. Hincks, who has a 20-year background in business and experience in supply chain management, always dreamt of owning his own company, and Crumbl seemed like the right fit.

Customers can order in person during the first five business days of the Grand Opening. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 13, delivery, curbside pickup, catering, and nationwide shipping will be available via the Crumbl App or online at crumblcookies.com.

The store will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Crumbl Cookies was founded in Utah in 2017, and has since grown to 850 locations nationwide.
