Public Art Project Showcases The Smiling Faces Of Homewood-Flossmoor
Over 100 portraits of residents were wallpapered outside Village Hall as part of a public art initiative that promotes positivity.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A new public art installation outside Flossmoor Village Hall is inspiring residents to "smile moor" as well.
The Inside Out Project is a nationwide initiative to bring public art to diverse spaces. The latest project "Smiles are Contagious" showcases 111 portraits of Homewood-Flossmoor residents sporting their toothiest grins.
The display is located outside Flossmoor Village Hall and at 2059 Ridge Road in Homewood. Students at Homewood-Flossmoor High School spearheaded the project, which has about 50 other installations around the Chicagoland area.

At Monday's Flossmoor Village Board Meeting, Mayor Michelle Nelson is scheduled to recognize the students and residents involved in getting the art project up.
