Retailer Burlington To Open Friday In Homewood

HOMEWOOD, IL — A well-known off-price retailer will open its doors in Homewood Friday, according to a release. Burlington will open in Homewood Square, 17825 South Halsted St.

Burlington offers men and women's clothing, baby goods, footwear for all, home goods, baby items, and pet care and toys.

The store will celebrate its opening with the donation of a $5,00o check to nearby Maya Angelou Elementary School through their long-standing partnership with the national non-profit organization AdoptAClassroom.org. Funds will be used to help teachers purchase the necessary materials for their classrooms so that their students can learn and succeed. The presentation of the donation to local school and district leaders will take place during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:15 a.m.

Following the 9:15 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, the first 200 customers ages 18 and up, will receive a $5 Bonus Card to be used toward their purchase.

The first 200 customers ages 18 and up on Saturday, August 27 will receive a Burlington WOW! Buck to scratch off and reveal a prize up to $250 and be used toward their purchase. On Sunday, August 28, customers will receive a free Burlington tote, while supplies last, no purchase necessary.
