Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,

Last night I went for a short walk to wind down after a day of training, and the world surprised me. First, I noticed a random hammer lying on the sidewalk—so out of place it made me chuckle. As the sun began to set, a bat swooped overhead and a family of five raccoons crossed the street together, moving with playful intention and unity. And then, as if to complete the adventure, a skunk waddled by—slow, steady, and completely unbothered by my presence.

What started as an ordinary walk became an unexpected adventure, full of small wonders I would have missed if I hadn’t been looking. This was my reminder that mindfulness isn’t just found on the mat or in meditation—it’s right outside of our doors inviting us to pause, notice, and be delighted by what shows up.

Read | I want to share a big thank-you to one of our dear community members for sharing this beautiful read, “Spacious Presence: The Power of Self-Exploratory Writing.” It’s such a thoughtful reminder of how putting pen to paper can help us slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with ourselves. I love how it offers simple ways to create a little more clarity, presence, and breathing room in both our hearts and minds.

Try This | Step outside and take a slow, 10-minute walk with a simple mission: notice three things you’ve never really looked at before. It might be the curve of a window frame, a crack in the sidewalk, or the distinct call of a bird overhead. Each detail is an invitation to remember that the world is wider, richer, and more alive than we often realize.
