Shots Fired, Home Hit By Gunfire: Homewood Police

The shots fired call came in just before 6 p.m. Monday, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating shots fired and gunfire hitting a home Monday evening, police said in an alert.

On Monday, July 21, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Homewood police were called to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Olive. Officers checked the surrounding area and found several spent shell casings.

The offender(s) fled the scene prior to officers arriving, police said.

One residence in the area sustained damage from one of the rounds, according to police.

Homewood Police detectives are investigating the incident.
