Man Shot As Bullets Fly In Traffic In Flossmoor: Police
Shots were fired between two vehicles, leaving one person wounded, Flossmoor police said.
FLOSSMOOR, IL — A man was in stable condition Wednesday after shots were fired in traffic a day earlier in Flossmoor, police said.
According to police, one person was injured and received treatment at a nearby hospital after multiple shots were fired at the intersection of Flossmoor Road and Kedzie Avenue Tuesday just before noon.
Initial information indicates that two vehicles traveling westbound on Flossmoor Road may have been involved, police said. On Wednesday, police said they do not believe any other vehicles were involved or struck by gunfire.

Flossmoor police immediately searched the area, and officials from Homewood-Flossmoor High School and Flossmoor School District 161 were notified out of an abundance of caution.
Police said the people involved immediately fled the area, and there is no immediate threat to the community. The Flossmoor Police Department is actively conducting a follow-up investigation.
