slow down, soften, and welcome autumn
Liz's Mindful Mondays: Weekly Reflections + Inspiration from the Heart of Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Dear Reader,
The Autumn Equinox (today) is a time of balance, equal day and night, inviting us to pause and honor both the light and the dark within our lives. It’s a natural checkpoint in the year that asks us to reflect on what we’ve learned, how we’ve grown, and what we might gently release to make space for what is to come.
As we move into autumn’s rhythm, here are a few simple ways to align body, mind, and spirit with the season:

Reflect + Journal | Write down the lessons and growth you’ve experienced this year.
Moisturize + Nourish | Treat your skin and hair with warm oil to ease dryness.
Eat Seasonally | Add broths, root vegetables, and grounding foods into your meals.
Spice It Up | Warm your recipes with cinnamon, dried ginger, and cardamom.
Create Spaciousness | Leave blank spots in your calendar for rest and breathing room.
Warm Sips | Choose herbal teas instead of cold water to stay cozy and hydrated.
Rest Well | Listen to your body and welcome restorative naps.
Soak in Nature | Spend time outside and breathe deeply.
This time of year reminds us to slow down, soften, and receive. May we honor the balance of the equinox by finding steadiness within ourselves and embracing autumn’s invitation to ground, nourish, and rest.

Inspire | “Practicing stillness is not about privileging stillness over movement. It’s about having the capacity to be still amidst the ongoing stream of your patterns and impulses. It’s about choice.” Cory Muscara
Listen | I recently created this Autumn Equinox playlist to help remind us all to slow down, reflect, and settle into the grounding rhythm of fall. Breathe, release, and welcome the beauty of balance.
Try This | Close your eyes and begin to hum softly, feeling the vibration in your chest, face, and skull. Notice how the steady sound draws your attention away from busy thoughts and into sensation, gently quieting the mind. Allow the hum to slow your breath and invite a sense of calm, as if you are tuning your whole body into stillness.
