Suspect In 'Domestic Kidnapping' Of 4 Kids Remains At Large, Police Say

Riverdale police said a man who stole a vehicle with four young children inside on Saturday morning remains at large.

RIVERDALE, IL — Riverdale police are still searching for Austin Bell, 29, who remains at large after police claim Bell stole a vehicle with four children inside. The children, all under age 10, were eventually found safe.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 13600 block of Lowe Avenue for a “domestic-related kidnapping.” Bell , who is not the children’s father, stole a vehicle containing the four children, triggering an Amber Alert, police said.

The children were later found safe several hours later, and were being medically evaluated as a precaution.

Authorities are still searching for Bell, who remains on the lam as of Monday. He was last seen driving a 2010 silver Acura MDX, with an Illinois plate, FE 60619.

The suspect, Bell, has brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-7 and weighs 215 pounds.
