Woman Found Stabbed To Death, Set On Fire: Riverdale PD
Investigators are asking for help identifying the woman, who was found dead after police were called for the report of a structure fire.
RIVERDALE, IL — A woman was found dead over the weekend after Riverdale Police responded to the report of a structure fire, police said on Tuesday. They are now working to identify the woman.
Police said she was set on fire after she was killed.
The public is being asked for help identifying the woman, who is described as small in stature and either African American or Hispanic, police said in a news release. Police said that the woman had been stabbed before being set on fire.

Police said that the woman was found wearing a very ornate wristwatch and had a large single-colored tattoo on her upper right arm. The tattoo depicts a pair of praying hands wrapped in a rosary with the word “faith” written underneath.
Riverdale Police are working with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force in an active investigation to determine the woman’s identity and to learn more about her death.
