Woman Robbed At Gunpoint At Flossmoor Gas Station: Police
The incident happened late Saturday night, police said.
FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor police are investigating after a woman was robbed at gunpoint late Saturday at a gas station, according to an e-cop alert.
On Aug. 9, at approximately 10:48 p.m., Flossmoor Police were called to the Tornado Gas Station located at 3950 Vollmer Road for an armed robbery that occurred moments prior. The suspect is described as a medium-built male who was wearing a ski mask, white shoes, a black t-shirt, and gray pants. The suspect showed a handgun and took the victim's purse, police said. The incident happened near the tire air pumps of the gas station. The victim was not physically injured.
The suspect was last seen running northbound from the scene towards Meijer. A police K-9 track was completed with negative results. Flossmoor's investigations division is now working on the case, including utilizing video camera footage from the area.
