On Tuesday, Fontaine entered into a negotiated plea deal with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Court records show he pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, a Class 3 felony, in exchange for his Class X felony charge being dismissed.

McHenry County Circuit Judge Michael Coppedge approved the plea deal and sentenced Fontaine to 60 days in the McHenry County Jail.

Fontaine will be on probation for 30 months upon his release. He will also have to pay $3,824 in court fines and fees.

Coppedge also ordered Fontaine to undergo anger management, psychological treatment and drug/alcohol treatment. He will also have to take parenting classes.
