• Huntley raises property tax levy, but rate expected to drop (shawlocal.com) — Huntley’s Village Board has approved a 4.5% increase in the property tax levy for 2026, but the village tax rate will actually drop slightly. For a home now valued around $393,000, that means roughly $10 more in village taxes next year. New construction will shoulder more than half the increase, and the village also passed a leaner 2026 budget.
