The McHenry Township Fire Protection District (MTFPD) is aware of the allegations regarding the misuse of funds belonging to the McHenry Firefighter’s Association. The individual involved is a part-time firefighter/paramedic for the district and has been placed on un-paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal district investigation.

The McHenry Firefighter’s Association is a non-profit organization comprised of current and former MTFPD firefighters. The McHenry Firefighter’s Association is a separate entity from the Fire Protection District. McHenry Township Fire Protection District funds were not involved in this incident.
