Rep. Keicher, Cortland Hosting Fraud Protection Event for Seniors
Rep. Keicher is partnering with Cortland and the Illinois Attorney General's Office to host a Senior Fraud Protection Event on May 29.

State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) is partnering with the Town of Cortland and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office to host a Senior Fraud Protection Event on May 29. The free event will be held at the Cortland Lions Club located at 70 S. Llanos St. in Cortland at 2 p.m.
Experts from the Attorney General’s Office will present on how to understand and recognize scams seeking to steal personal information, steps you can take to stop scams if you are being targeted, and how to get help if you think you have been scammed or your identity may have been stolen.
As fraud and identity theft scams targeting seniors proliferate, it’s increasingly important that seniors or those who care for an elderly loved one understand how to stay safe in the ever-changing digital age.
